Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. is hiring a Renewables Market Leader to guide the renewables market strategy across the western U.S.

You will expand client relationships with developers, utilities, and EPC/EPCM partners while shaping growth plans with the Energy Business Unit and a seasoned technical team. You will drive market intelligence, pursue opportunities, and position the firm for long-term success in wind, solar, battery storage, and related infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, construction management, environmental science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of related experience in a complex consulting, engineering, energy, renewable development, utility, EPC/EPCM, or similar organization.
• Demonstrated success achieving business development, sales, client growth, or revenue objectives, with experience supporting an expected net sales result between $2M and $10M.
• Experience leading or coordinating business development efforts, including opportunity identification, client strategy, pursuit planning, proposal development, and contract positioning.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, including utility-scale wind, solar, battery energy storage, interconnection, balance of plant, owner's engineer, or related infrastructure services.
• Proven ability to establish clear objectives, deliver measurable results, solve complex business or project issues, and coordinate across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted client relationships, develop staff or client-facing teams, and gain support from multiple stakeholders.
• One or more professional licenses or credentials relevant to the candidate’s discipline or market focus.
• Active involvement in one or more professional, industry, or client-facing organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Renewables market strategy in partnership with Energy Unit leadership and delivery teams.
• Diversify renewables client portfolio by expanding relationships with owners, developers, and utilities.
• Develop market intelligence on renewable energy developers, EPC/EPCM partners, and interconnection trends.
• Strengthen relationships with renewable energy owners and developers while offering owner’s engineer and other services.
• Drive growth through market plans, client strategy, forecasting, pursuits, proposals, and contract positioning.
• Build trusted client relationships and represent DEA in executive settings.
• Support growth in renewables services including balance of plant, substation design, storage, and studies.
• Coordinate with project managers to align staffing, delivery capacity, and profitability.
• Monitor market performance: pipeline, backlog, revenue forecasts, and spending.
• Represent DEA at client meetings, industry events, and partnerships to raise renewables brand.
• Assist recruiting and talent development to build leadership and delivery capacity.
