Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) Energy team delivers planning and design for power delivery and renewables, serving communities across sectors including power generation and transportation electrification.

The Renewables Market Leader will drive DEA's renewables growth across multiple western states, building relationships with developers, utilities, and strategic partners while guiding market strategy and pursuing major opportunities in wind, solar, and energy storage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, construction management, environmental science, or related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of related experience in consulting, engineering, energy, renewables, or similar.
• Experience achieving sales or revenue objectives, with $2M–$10M targets.
• Experience leading business development, including opportunity identification and proposal development.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy markets (wind, solar, storage, interconnection).
• Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and deliver measurable results.
• Professional licenses or credentials relevant to the discipline.
• Active involvement in professional organizations or client-facing groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead DEA's Renewables market strategy in partnership with leadership and technical delivery teams.
• Diversify renewables client portfolio by expanding relationships with developers, utilities, and EPC/EPCM firms.
• Develop market intelligence on renewable energy trends, interconnection, and technology.
• Build relationships with owners, developers, and strategic partners to position services.
• Guide pursuit strategy, proposal development, and contract positioning for priority opportunities.
• Maintain trusted client relationships and represent the firm at industry events.
