Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to support ongoing projects involving the installation, testing, and deployment of z/OS and related system software. The role emphasizes maintenance, debugging, and tuning of mainframe environments, with a strong focus on z/OS components and supporting software.

Qualified candidates will have 10+ years in mainframe, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and hands-on experience with TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, and SMP/E.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in a mainframe environment within a large enterprise.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS installation and maintenance including SMP/E.
• Hands-on experience with TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and JCL.
• Familiarity with USS file system management and security.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and implement new z/OS operating systems and related software.
• Maintain and debug system software; monitor and tune z/OS components.
• Configure PARMLIB and JES2; manage z/OS security and tape management.
• Coordinate with vendors; participate in technical projects.
• Provide incident/problem resolution and on-call support.
