Job summary

AvonRisk, a national specialty risk manager, seeks a Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster II. This fully remote role in Texas handles indemnity claims from intake through resolution, applying knowledge of WC statutes and proactive medical management.

You will work with self-insured client accounts, under supervision, across a diverse portfolio. Responsibilities include investigation, reserving, litigation management, settlements, and subrogation, with professional communication to workers,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or alternative: 5 years Texas WC claims adjusting with no degree.
• Experience independently managing indemnity claims through resolution.
• Proficiency in reading medical records and IME reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform three-point contact within 24 hours on new losses and analyze case facts to assess compensability.
• Direct medical care throughout the claim lifecycle including treatment authorization and UR/IME direction.
• Establish and adjust case reserves and prepare 90-day carrier status reports.
• Direct defense counsel, set litigation strategy, manage budgets and drive litigated files toward resolution.
• Negotiate and finalize settlements including lien resolution and pursue subrogation when applicable.
• Maintain proactive communication with injured workers, employers, carriers, counsel and vendors.
