Job summary

Humana, Inc. seeks a Workday Compensation Configuration Lead to partner with Compensation, HR, Finance, Payroll and Technology to design, configure, implement, and optimize scalable Workday compensation solutions.

This senior SME guides governance, strategy, and implementation across enterprise initiatives. You will lead configuration for annual planning, merit, bonus programs, salary structures, and one-time payments, while mentoring teammates and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
7+ years of HR technology, HRIS, or enterprise systems experience, with complex configuration leadership.
5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration, with deep compensation expertise.
Experience configuring compensation processes (planning, merit, bonuses, eligibility, salary structures, one-time payments).
Experience gathering requirements, solution design, and translating needs into scalable Workday solutions.
Experience leading testing (Unit, SIT, UAT), releases, and production deployments.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, test, and implement Workday Compensation solutions.
Lead strategy and governance for compensation configurations and initiatives.
Mentor team members and influence technology strategy in a large enterprise.
Partner with Compensation, HR, Finance, Payroll, and Technology stakeholders to deliver enterprise-wide solutions.
Drive automation and process optimization while adopting leading Workday practices.
