Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Technician- Hub Technician to support onshore wind sites. The role requires local travel within the hub and focuses on turbine operations, safety, quality control and warranty repair.

You will collaborate with the Site Lead and Manager to meet contract obligations and timelines, ensuring alignment with GE standards. The position expects experience in wind tech roles or related certificates, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in diverse environments.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic or Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Able to handle 50 lb. weight and climb towers up to 300 feet daily
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and on-call as needed

Responsibilities

• Work with site & hub leadership to meet customer requirements and daily activities on electrical and mechanical equipment in GE wind turbines
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch & variable speed turbines
• Assist in all site operations as directed by manager with minimal supervision and safety requirements
• Perform diagnostic electrical analysis
• Document all work performed and coordinate with GE’s remote operations center when needed
