Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Technician to maintain and repair wind turbine systems at multiple sites within the WY1 hub. The role requires travel to various wind sites, performing electrical and mechanical maintenance, diagnostics, and safety-compliant operations.

The position emphasizes teamwork with Site Leads, managers, and GE’s remote operations center, with a focus on timely contract fulfillment and quality outcomes. A valid driver’s license and the ability to climb towers are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year wind technician experience or completed wind certificate program/associate’s degree in energy, or 2 years electrical work experience.
• Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with site leadership to execute contractual obligations and daily customer requirements.
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on wind turbines.
• Assist site operations with minimal supervision while observing safety requirements.
• Perform diagnostic electrical analysis.
• Document all work with service reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with GE’s remote operations center as needed.
