Job summary

GE Vernova International LLC is seeking a Lead Wind Hub Technician for our wind sites. The role focuses on turbine operations, maintenance planning, safety, quality control, and warranty repair, with daily collaboration with the Site Manager to meet contract requirements and timelines.

The position requires wind trouble-shooting experience, ability to travel up to 100%, and capability to work in diverse environments.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years wind trouble-shooting experience and 1+ year in EHS/SQC/Lead role OR 5+ years wind trouble-shooting experience with passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment
Basic computer skills
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time
Handle 50 lb weight and climb towers up to 300 ft daily
Meet manufacturer weight limits (≤300 lbs) including gear
Able to work in diverse environments and shift schedules

Responsibilities

Work with Hub Manager to execute contractual obligations and activities for the GE wind turbine generator
Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch & variable speed turbines
Support site operations with minimal supervision including daily schedules and planning
Perform diagnostic electrical analysis
Document work using computer-based service reporting procedures
Coordinate with GE’s remote operations center as needed
