Job summary

Pacific Office Automation is seeking a Wide Format Service Technician to support customers across the United States. This home-based role requires approximately 50% travel, primarily in the Central and Eastern regions.

You will provide on-site and remote technical support for production print equipment and ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include diagnostics, repairs, installations, and operator training, with a focus on Onyx RIP workflows and Canon wide format systems.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years minimum field service experience.
• Experience servicing wide format equipment and related technology.
• Experience with Canon wide format print equipment preferred.
• Working knowledge of Onyx software and RIP workflows preferred.
• Strong computer and networking knowledge.
• Must travel approximately 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone and onsite technical support to customers.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, software upgrades, and maintenance on production print equipment.
• Complete installations, relocations, and customer operator training.
• Coordinate upcoming installations and confirm site readiness (power, forklift, RIP compatibility).
• Maintain service records and documentation; support sales with technical evaluations.
