Job summary

Pacific Office Automation Inc. is seeking a Wide Format Service Technician to support customers nationwide. This home-based role requires approximately 50% travel, mainly across the Central and Eastern regions of the United States.

You will install, service, and train customers on wide format production printers and related software. The ideal candidate enjoys independent work, strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, and has experience with Onyx RIP workflows and Canon wide format

Qualifications

2–6 years of field service experience.
Experience servicing wide format equipment.
Canon wide format experience preferred.
Working knowledge of Onyx software and RIP workflows.
Strong Windows OS knowledge.
Willingness to travel ~50% across Central/Eastern US.
Valid driver’s license with clean record.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide phone and onsite technical support to customers.
Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, software upgrades, machine modifications, retrofits, and preventative maintenance on production print equipment.
Complete equipment installations, deinstallations, relocations, and customer operator training.
Follow up with customers after installations to ensure expectations are met and equipment is operating properly.
Manage and coordinate upcoming installations, including site readiness and compatibility checks.
Provide high-quality technical support by completing service calls per standards and agreements.
Assist customers with equipment questions and guidance on color management and production workflows.
Develop knowledge of Onyx software and RIP systems to support customer environments.
Understand how RIP software manages print production and assist with general questions.
Participate in ongoing training to stay current on products and procedures.
Support sales teams by identifying upgrade opportunities and performing technical evaluations.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
Work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
