Job summary

Pacific Office Automation Inc. is seeking a Wide Format Service Technician to support customers nationwide from a home-based role.

This position requires travel of about 50% across the Central and Eastern regions, primarily servicing Canon wide format systems and Onyx RIP workflows. You will diagnose, repair, upgrade software, install equipment, and train customer operators while maintaining strong documentation and customer relations.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years minimum of relevant field service experience.
• Experience servicing and repairing wide format equipment.
• Experience with Canon wide format print equipment strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Onyx software and production RIP workflows preferred.
• Strong computer and networking knowledge.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone and onsite technical support to customers.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, software upgrades, machine modifications, retrofits, and preventative maintenance on production print equipment.
• Complete equipment installations, deinstallations, relocations, and operator training.
• Follow up with customers after installations to ensure satisfaction and proper operation.
• Manage and coordinate upcoming installations, including site readiness and RIP compatibility.
• Maintain service records and documentation.
