Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a Sales Account Manager for Waste Management Services, home-based in Nebraska or Iowa. The role focuses on profitable sales, consultative selling, and growing the customer base while improving margins and reducing handling costs.

You will manage pricing, service levels, quotations, and coordination with local branches, with emphasis on safety and long-term value for accounts. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and travel within the territory is required.

Qualifications

• Up to 5 years of experience in B2B sales.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Chemistry preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of waste management services including chemical handling, recycling, reuse and disposal preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with customers and teammates.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Improve the company’s position within each account through consultative selling at all levels.
• Prospect for new business and grow the territory.
• Maintain an updated view of the sales pipeline.
• Focus on customer retention and satisfaction.
• Provide technical support and consultant services to increase value for customers.
• Set pricing and service levels and coordinate quotations with local branches.
• Coordinate with local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure inventory levels and satisfaction.
• Build relationships through business calls and customer entertainment.
• Commit to safety for self and colleagues.
