Job summary

Carrington is seeking a remote Post Close leader to oversee all aspects of funded loan post-close operations across originating channels. You will drive loan quality, compliance, and risk management while collaborating with Capital Markets, IT, and Treasury to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires extensive mortgage industry experience and 7–15 years of management in loan origination processes; a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent work experience.
• 7 to 10 years’ experience managing at least one aspect of the Loan Origination Process.
• 10 to 15 years of mortgage industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with policies and laws, including hiring and training employees; planning, directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
• Ensure Post Close operations comply with company policies, procedures, regulations, SLA, and loan quality metrics.
• Contribute to risk management initiatives and coordinate with Capital Markets, Secondary Markets, Operations, Quality Control, Loan Servicing, IT and Treasury.
• Create a departmental culture aligned with company values, pursuing continuous improvement and precision of execution and customer focus.
• Develop and implement training on current policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Act as liaison with direct reports, internal staff, sales staff, vendors, and customers to resolve issues.
• Work with IT to develop system enhancements that improve Post Close efficiency and quality control.
• Provide exception-based reviews of loan circumstances.
• Assist in interviewing and hiring process for new department management.
• Regularly audit staff for compliance with policies and procedures.
• Evaluate performance trends and work with Operations to address audit findings.
• Conduct weekly structured Post Close Manager meetings.
• Provide feedback and coaching to Post Close Managers and staff.
• Facilitate relationships with VPs/Directors of Operations across regional centers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
