Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director/VP, Commercial Lines to act as a national SME in Commercial P&C and agency operations. You will partner with divisional and regional leadership to standardize workflows, drive efficiency, and elevate client service while supporting growth initiatives.

The role emphasizes M&A integration, capacity planning, and strategic leadership across a matrixed organization, with fully remote work options within Central Time Zone expectations.

Qualifications

• Active P&C license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation preferred.
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines leadership in a large brokerage.
• Strong expertise in agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with M&A integration and transformation initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Lines Strategy: Partner with leadership to develop and execute initiatives that strengthen operations and performance.
• Operational Excellence: Identify challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and outcomes.
• Workflow Standardization: Establish standardized workflows and best practices across the organization.
• Process Optimization: Lead improvements to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Root Cause Analysis: Evaluate issues and implement corrective actions for sustainable improvements.
• Workforce Planning: Analyze staffing to support growth and capacity needs.
• Managed Services Alignment: Coordinate with services teams to use resources effectively.
• Technical Expertise: Serve as national SME in Commercial P&C operations and systems.
• M&A Integration Support: Support integration planning and standardization during deals.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Build partnerships with producers and operations leadership.
• Systems & Technology Optimization: Promote use of EPIC, workflows, and BI tools.
• Performance Analysis: Use metrics to evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities.
