Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national operations, standardize workflows, and drive performance improvements across the agency network.

The role requires 5–7+ years in commercial lines leadership, an active P&C license, and CPCU/CIC designations. Fully remote work is preferred within the Central Time Zone, with on-site presence possible to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty License required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent)
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization
• Demonstrated experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements
• Strong workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills
• Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a highly matrixed organization
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with division and regional leadership.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish and promote standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and quality.
• Evaluate operational issues, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Analyze staffing models and capacity to support growth and excellence.
• Coordinate with Managed Services to optimize resource utilization.
• Provide national SME guidance on agency operations and systems.
• Support M&A integration initiatives through assessments and alignment.
• Collaborate with producers and leadership to drive engagement and accountability.
• Promote EPIC and other tech to improve performance and consistency.
• Use metrics to evaluate effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead change management for new processes and workflows.
• Maintain ongoing professional development in industry and leadership.
