Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to lead nationwide operations. Fully remote with preferred Central Time working hours; some on-site may be required per policy.

The role partners with regional leadership to standardize workflows, optimize processes, and support M&A integration while driving client service excellence and shareholder value. The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license, CPCU/CIC or equivalent, and 5–7+ years in Commercial Lines leadership

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years in Commercial Lines operational leadership within a large brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Root cause analysis experience with sustainable improvements.
• Workforce planning and capacity modeling experience.
• Mergers & acquisitions integration experience.
• EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines initiatives to strengthen operations and service delivery.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and practices.
• Lead process improvement to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Evaluate issues, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Analyze staffing models and capacity to support growth.
• Align with Managed Services to optimize resource use.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, and systems.
• Support M&A integration through operational assessments and planning.
• Collaborate with producers, operations, and leadership to implement initiatives.
• Promote EPIC, reporting tools, and tech platforms for performance.
• Use metrics and BI to assess effectiveness and identify improvements.
• Lead change efforts and promote adoption of new processes.
