Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to serve as a national SME in Commercial P&C and agency operations. The role partners with leadership to advance objectives, standardize workflows, and strengthen performance across the organization.

The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership in a large broker/agency, an active P&C license, and CPCU or CIC designation preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience in a large brokerage/agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
• Proven ability to influence leaders in a matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with leadership to strengthen operations and performance.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices across the organization.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Evaluate issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions for sustainable improvements.
• Analyze staffing models to develop capacity plans supporting growth.
• Ensure alignment with Managed Services and strategic initiatives.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, and technology utilization.
• Support merger & acquisition initiatives through operational assessments and integration planning.
