Job summary

Purple Communications, Inc. seeks a ZP Flex Interpreter to provide high-quality American Sign Language interpretation via video in a call center environment. You must be fluent in ASL and spoken English and adhere to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

This role covers 15 hours of interpreting over a 6-week cycle, with remote telehealth duties and optional onsite work based on needs. Responsibilities include delivering effective VRS/VRI, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in American Sign Language and spoken English.
• Must pass interpreting skills assessment.
• Must attend and complete New Hire Training (40 hours).
• Thorough knowledge of NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Three to five years interpreting experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service and video remote interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model the company's mission and values.
• Provide excellent customer service with a respectful professional attitude.
• Maintain punctuality and preparedness for shifts and accurate record keeping.
• Adhere to FCC regulations and company policies.
• Demonstrate adaptability to new technologies and multitask between interpreting and video use.

• Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Interpreting onsite when required, with vehicle/insurance if needed.
