Job summary

ZP Connect seeks a Flex Interpreter to provide high quality American Sign Language interpreting via video in a call center. The interpreter must be fluent in ASL and English, with accurate interpreting skills and thorough knowledge of the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

These part-time roles (15 hours every six weeks) offer telehealth benefits, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English
• Accurate interpretation
• Good understanding of Deaf culture
• Thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct
• Three to five years experience in interpreting (preferred)
• State licensure of state-required credentials (if applicable)
• You must be 18 years or older to apply

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service and video remote interpreting for consumers
• Support and model the company's mission and values
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a respectful and professional attitude with customer and colleagues
• Exhibit professional behavior including punctuality and preparedness for shifts, respect and collaboration with colleagues and supervisors, and timely record keeping
• Adhere to all policies and FCC regulations
• Demonstrate ability to adapt quickly to new technologies
• Multi task between interpreting and utilizing video
• Participate in company sponsored training for Professional Development
• Meet performance expectations with minimal supervision
• Work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills
• Onsite interpreting for consumers offered based on business need; driving may be required with vehicle, license and insurance
