Job summary

Merck is seeking a Vaccine Customer Representative to support healthcare providers across a defined U.S. geography, educating them on vaccine attributes, reimbursement, and contract adherence to drive immunization rates.

The role collaborates with field teams to align customer needs, deliver product knowledge, and monitor performance against objectives, with travel and a strong emphasis on relationship management and education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 0–3 years sales experience.
• High school diploma with at least 4 years of relevant work experience in sales/marketing/healthcare.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engaging in balanced product sales presentations with Health Care Providers and Health Care Business Professionals to align customer needs and our Company’s vaccine attributes in accordance with product labeling, and CDC and professional society recommendations.
• Providing Company Vaccine management updates on customer needs as it relates to improving patient health outcomes, customer feedback, marketplace dynamics, and progress towards quality goals.
• Providing customers with key insights by keeping apprised of professional and health care environment knowledge through self-study of company-provided scientific, product and marketplace information, attendance at product workshops and conferences, and review of promotional materials.
• Utilizing analytical skills to engage customers in quarterly business reviews regarding their vaccine contract to educate customers on ways to maximize contract performance across the portfolio.
• Assisting customers with education to improve immunization rates through adherence to quality-based programs using tools such as Vaccine IQ.
• Regularly monitoring business performance against objectives using company tools.
• Developing a territory-level business plan focusing on improving immunization rates with assigned customers.
• Maintaining product knowledge and CDC immunization schedule knowledge for pediatric and adult vaccines.
