Job summary

ABB is seeking an Inside Sales Support professional located in the United States. The role focuses on daily customer activities including order entry, tracking, and order management across ABB units and agent accounts. It is a remote position with travel as needed.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business and at least 5 years of technical customer support in industrial or utility sectors, plus familiarity with power transmission/distribution products and B2B support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of technical customer support experience in industrial/utility sectors.
• General knowledge of power transmission and distribution products preferred.
• Experience with business-to-business customer support.
• Must have knowledge and skill in utilization of computer databases.

Responsibilities

• Utilize ABB's tools and processes including product configuration tools, order entry and business systems.
• Coordinate activities with local business units to track orders and ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate input from local units and ABB groups to ensure bids meet customer requirements.
• Process information on multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Attend meetings to exchange information and analyze contract requirements.
• Investigate technical problems and establish corrective actions to avoid recurrences.
• Duties may require domestic travel to customer locations or ABB sites.
• Initiate change orders and expedite collection of overdue invoices.
• May require periodic customer reporting for outstanding orders or inventory management.
