Job summary

Ethos is seeking experienced user insights managers to help train a leading AI model on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. The role focuses on designing studies, conducting interviews and usability tests, and synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations that inform AI-driven document workflows.

Fully remote, 5-20 hours per week, with start ASAP. Compensation is $70/hour, reflecting expert-level craftsmanship and strong communication skills in a fast-paced AI research

Qualifications

• 4+ years conducting customer or user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys) with ownership of the full study lifecycle from discussion guide to insight synthesis.
• Fluency with thematic coding methods, survey design/statistics, and translating raw research data into usability test findings decks and journey map documents.
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core workflows.
• Synthesize findings from interviews, usability tests, and surveys into actionable product insights.
• Collaborate with product and research teams to translate findings into recommendations and roadmaps.
