Qualifications

• Active CPA license, CA designation, or experience as a US tax attorney.
• Strong experience with US tax law interpretation, especially sales and use tax or SALT.
• Ability to interpret tax statutes and regulations, not just prepare tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret US sales and use tax statutes and regulations across state jurisdictions.
• Analyze subsections, terms, conditions, thresholds, exceptions and related provisions.
• Develop structured evaluation rubrics that translate statutory requirements into testable criteria.
