Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking experienced Tax Professionals and US Tax Law Experts to help train and evaluate AI systems. You will interpret US sales and use tax statutes and determine whether AI-generated interpretations meet legal requirements.

This role emphasizes reading, interpreting, and analyzing tax law to convert it into structured evaluations and test scenarios. Remote contract work with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and clear feedback.

Qualifications

Active CPA license, CA designation, or US tax attorney experience.
Strong experience interpreting US tax law, especially sales and use tax.
Ability to interpret statutes and regulations beyond tax return prep.
Knowledge of legal logic: conditions, thresholds, exceptions, defined terms, AND/OR.
Precise, structured written communication.
Extreme attention to detail for edge cases.
Strong analytical and critical thinking.
Ability to provide structured feedback through digital review platforms.
Ability to work independently with objective criteria.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret US sales and use tax statutes across states.
Analyze statutory subsections, defined terms, conditions, thresholds, exceptions.
Develop evaluation rubrics turning requirements into testable criteria.
Assign severity levels based on legal significance.
Review AI-generated tax interpretations against rubrics.
Verify AI outputs capture AND/OR logic, exceptions, defined terms.
Create clear test scenarios with facts, dates, amounts, outcomes.
Identify discrepancies and ambiguities in AI tax content.
Submit evaluated feedback through digital platforms.
Provide actionable feedback to improve AI tax solutions.
