Job summary

YO AI Labs seeks experienced Tax Professionals and US Tax Law Experts to train and evaluate AI systems on US sales and use tax content. This remote contract role focuses on interpreting tax statutes and translating them into structured, testable criteria for evaluation.

You'll develop evaluation rubrics, set severity levels, and review AI-generated interpretations for accuracy against defined terms, thresholds, and exceptions across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• CPA/CA license or US tax attorney experience.
• Strong US tax law interpretation experience.
• Ability to interpret statutes and regulations, not just prepare returns.
• Strong legal logic: conditions, thresholds, exceptions, defined terms, AND/OR.
• Excellent precise, structured written communication.
• Exceptional attention to detail and edge cases.
• Ability to provide structured feedback via digital platforms.
• Work independently with objective evaluation criteria.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret US sales and use tax statutes across states.
• Analyze statutory subsections, defined terms, thresholds, exceptions.
• Develop structured evaluation rubrics breaking requirements into criteria.
• Assign severity levels based on legal significance.
• Review AI-generated tax content against rubrics.
• Verify AI outputs capture AND/OR logic, exceptions, defined terms.
• Develop test scenarios with facts, dates, amounts, outcomes.
• Identify discrepancies and ambiguities in AI tax content.
• Submit structured evaluations through digital review platforms.
• Provide precise feedback to improve AI tax solutions.
