Job summary

YO AI Labs seeks experienced Tax Professionals and US Tax Law Experts to interpret US sales and use tax statutes and translate them into precise, testable evaluation criteria. You will build structured rubrics and evaluate AI-generated tax content for accuracy, exceptions, and defined terms, while applying objective criteria with attention to detail.

Remote role focusing on statutory interpretation, logical analysis, and clear written feedback.

Qualifications

Active CPA, CA, or US tax attorney experience required.
Strong ability to interpret tax statutes and regulations (not just prepare returns).
Excellent written communication with precise and clear expression.
Understanding of legal logic: conditions, thresholds, exceptions, defined terms, AND/OR structures.
Experience interpreting multiple US state tax statutes and regulations.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret US sales and use tax statutes and regulations across state jurisdictions.
Analyze statutory subsections, defined terms, conditions, thresholds, exceptions.
Develop structured evaluation rubrics breaking requirements into discrete criteria.
Assign severity levels based on legal significance.
Review AI-generated tax interpretations against rubrics.
Verify AI outputs capture conditions, thresholds, logic, exceptions, and definitions.
Create test scenarios with facts, dates, amounts and expected outcomes.
Identify discrepancies, ambiguities and inaccuracies in AI content.
Provide structured feedback through digital review platforms.
