Job summary

Hiab USA is seeking a skilled engineer to perform day-to-day remote monitoring and diagnostics for customer fleets. You will work with technical support and field service teams to ensure a seamless experience from recommendation to resolution.

The role emphasizes reading mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical schematics, presenting complex results clearly, and collaborating with partners to add value. Travel is limited.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering field.
• +3 years of remote monitoring or troubleshooting electrical/mechanical faults, preferably in heavy equipment or trucking.
• Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.
• Ability to present complex analyses clearly to operations, product, or marketing teams.
• Experience working with partners and customers to add value; limited travel required.

Responsibilities

• Perform remote monitoring of equipment alerts and diagnose faults.
• Collaborate with technical support and field service teams for seamless customer experience.
• Gather operational knowledge to enable new digital workflows and remote maintenance.
• Provide input to improve equipment performance through action item recommendations.
• Contribute learnings to data science for predictive algorithms.
• Assist customers to reduce costs and improve equipment availability via proactive maintenance.
