Job summary

HIAB USA is seeking a field service technician to perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, upgrades, and refurbishments on equipment at assigned locations. The role emphasizes productive customer relationships and adherence to Best Practice in administrative and technical tasks.

Requirements include a DOT Medical Card, valid driver's license, high school diploma, and 3+ years in mechanical/hydraulic/electrical operations.

Qualifications

• DOT Medical Card and valid driver’s license required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations experience.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills required.
• Own tools required.
• Know and comply with Hiab procedures and Workplace Instructions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service and troubleshoot equipment (forklifts, knuckle boom cranes, loaders, liftgates, hooklifts, skiploaders & hoists) per Manager’s instructions.
• Follow safety rules and environmental requirements.
• Stay updated with technical developments and complete courses as directed by District Service Manager.
• Respond to customer queries to maximize satisfaction and follow Hiab guidelines.
• Keep records and submit daily reports per District Service Manager.
• Identify sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager.
• Coach junior colleagues as needed.
• Maintain professional image of the Hiab brand and follow Quality System rules.
