Job summary

Reserv is seeking a highly organized Transportation Claims Total Loss Specialist to manage total loss settlements, rental expenses, and review vehicle valuations across a remote-first environment in the United States. You will collaborate with rental facilities, body shops, salvage vendors, and appraisers to resolve complex claims efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; not mandatory if other qualifications are met.
• minimum of 3 years of transportation claims adjusting experience.
• Active insurance adjuster license; willingness to obtain additional licenses within 60 days.
• Knowledge of state regulations, policy provisions, and procedures.
• Commercial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous customer service to policyholders and claimants.
• Gather information to adjudicate claims and explain policy coverage.
• Manage inventory of claims and establish reserves; adjust as needed.
• Coordinate with salvage vendors for vehicle movement and rental reimbursement.
• Identify recovery opportunities including subrogation and salvage.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and SOPs.
• Negotiate total loss settlements within authority and guidelines.
• Contribute to guidelines, best practices, and process improvements.
• Oversee external investigators and collaborate with client counsel.
• Learn about evolving claims guidance and policy changes.
