Job summary

Reserv, a tech-driven insurtech, seeks a Transportation Physical Damage Claims Adjuster to deliver exceptional service to policyholders and claimants. You will manage claim inventories, coordinate repairs, and pursue favorable settlements while adhering to state regulations and SOPs.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of commercial transportation claims experience, an active adjuster license, and strong analysis and communication skills. This remote-first role supports nationwide coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; lack of one ok if other qualifications are strong.
• 3–5 years of experience in commercial transportation claims including Third-Party PD/Total Loss.
• Active adjuster license required: resident state or DHS license; willingness to obtain licenses within 60 days.
• Knowledge of state regulations, policy provisions and SOPs.
• Commercial experience necessary for claims decisions within established guidelines.
• Desire to learn and develop in claims domain.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, high-quality customer service to policyholders and claimants by responding to inquiries, initiating investigations and resolving claims.
• Gather necessary information from customers to initiate the claim and explain policy, coverage, and appropriate actions.
• Manage an inventory of claims, establish initial reserves for potential exposures, and adjust as needed.
• Coordinate vehicle repairs and assist with rental reimbursement.
• Recognize recovery opportunities in subrogation and salvage, and total loss scenarios.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, policy provisions, and SOPs.
• Communicate with involved parties and negotiate settlements within approval authority.
• Provide input for continuous improvements of claims guidelines and processes.
• Oversee outside investigative services and work with client and counsel to resolve claims.
• Engage in learning opportunities to build knowledge of personal lines claims, legal decisions, and policy changes.
