Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Transportation Consultant to oversee day-to-day transportation operations across a nationwide remote portfolio. You will partner with planners, DC leadership, and 3PLs to maintain delivery performance and enforce SOPs.

You will leverage TMS and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) to track regional KPIs, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and coordinate real-time solutions for disruptions. Travel is 10–15% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or related field.
• PMP and Lean Six Sigma certifications are preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Operational Point of Contact & Issue Resolution: serve as the primary POC for transportation operations within 1–5 facilities; troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day challenges to protect service levels.
• Carrier & Fleet Partner Collaboration: foster active collaboration with carrier operations and 3PL partners to manage service delivery expectations and verify execution.
• Transportation Planner Alignment: work with Transportation Planners to reinforce SOPs and route planning expectations.
• Process Standardization & Governance: ensure adherence to protocols; maintain SOPs and ASO processes.
• Business Disruption Management: coordinate contingency plans for weather, peak holiday periods, and outages.
• Operational Data Analytics & Dashboard Utilization: use TMS and BI tools to monitor KPIs and provide data-backed feedback.
• Continuous Process Improvement: identify opportunities to streamline operations and implement best practices.
• Cross-Functional Stakeholder Communication: liaise with DC operations, customer service, planning, and providers to ensure clear communication.
