Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data analytics and lean methods across transportation operations. You will drive CI initiatives, coach teams, and support automation to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.

You will collaborate with operations leadership, manage cross-functional CI projects, and develop practical solutions using VSM, Kaizen, and PDCA. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years in Transportation or Supply Chain.
• Transportation Management experience (FTL, LTL).
• MS Office Suite with Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio.
• Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau); SQL/DAX.
• Lean methods: PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen; strong CI knowledge.
• Knowledge of dedicated services and managed networks; familiarity with JDA, OTM, Tableau/Power BI.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps and documents processes.
• Manages CI projects and go-live/steady-state certifications; supports automation initiatives.
• Develops engineering methods and coaches Lean/CI across teams.
• Facilitates Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events; promotes lean execution.
• Delivers regular data-driven reports and recommends Supply Chain strategy.
