Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Transportation Consultant to analyze transportation networks, drive cost and service improvements, and partner with 3PL providers to optimize operations across the supply chain.

The role focuses on data-driven recommendations, communicating with stakeholders, and delivering projects on time and within budget. A PMP/Lean Six Sigma background is preferred, with 4+ years in logistics or carrier management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management, with focus on dedicated fleet operations or carrier management preferred.
• Proficiency with data visualization and BI tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, and Power BI is highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Transportation Network Data Analytics and Reporting: Conduct data analysis of the transportation network to identify opportunities for cost reduction and service improvements, developing dashboards, scorecards, and executive reports.
• Operational Improvement Project Management: Lead transportation projects from conception to completion, defining scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as liaison between internal teams and external 3PL carriers.
• Data Analysis & KPI Reporting: Develop and monitor KPIs to assess fleet performance and present findings to leadership.
• Budget & Timeline Management: Manage project budgets and ensure on-time delivery within financial parameters.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for standardization and improvement within transportation operations.
• Problem Solving: Proactively address transportation challenges using data-driven approaches.
