Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Transportation Consultant to support data analysis, planning, optimization, and execution of transportation operations across the supply chain. This role focuses on moving materials and finished products efficiently while driving cost and service improvements.

The candidate will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, and 3PLs to advance strategic initiatives, manage projects, and influence stakeholders with data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration preferred.
• Preferred Certifications: PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
• 4+ years in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management with focus on fleet operations or carrier management.
• Proven project management experience with complex timelines and budgets.
• Strong analytical skills with large datasets and actionable insights.
• Proficiency with data visualization and BI tools (Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI).
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills; ability to interact at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Transportation Network Data Analytics and Reporting: analyze the network, identify cost reductions, and develop dashboards and reports.
• Operational Improvement Project Management: lead transportation projects from concept to completion with scope, timelines and budgets.
• Stakeholder Management: liaise between internal teams and external 3PL carriers.
• Data Analysis & KPI Reporting: monitor KPIs, identify trends, present leadership-ready insights.
• Budget & Timeline Management: manage budgets and schedules to meet financial targets.
• Process Optimization: standardize and improve transportation operations.
• Problem Solving: proactively resolve complex transportation challenges.
