Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. This role offers flexibility with remote work or office options across the Central region, and requires leading high‑voltage transmission projects up to 765kV.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, coordinate with clients, and manage project scope, schedule, and budget while mentoring staff and supporting proposals. Strong PE licensure and PLS‑CADD expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 5-7 years’ experience in the transmission field of designing/managing projects and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.
• Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95.
• Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.
• The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills.
• Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by company safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for planning, design, and delivery of high‑voltage transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Lead project execution layout and establish efficient project plans and schedules.
• Create and maintain project schedules and conduct regular status meetings.
• Coordinate with clients on project status and facilitate meetings.
• Ensure QA/QC compliance across multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Mentor staff and support business development and client relationships.
