Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery Team. The role offers flexible work arrangements with remote options or from one of our Central region offices.

This position provides technical leadership for planning, design, and delivery of high‑voltage overhead transmission lines, including research, concept development, and construction support. Strong PLS‑CADD and field experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• 5-7 years’ experience in transmission field designing/managing projects.
• Professional Engineering (PE) licensure preferred.
• Understanding of NESC, RUS, and GO-95.
• Strong knowledge of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and lead meetings.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams; manage project scope and budgets.
• Ensure QA/QC practices and safety standards are followed.
• Travel to client sites, offices, or facilities as needed.
• Mentor staff and contribute to business development and proposals.
