Job summary
WSP USA is seeking a Transportation Line Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery Team. The role provides technical leadership for planning, design, and delivery of high‑voltage overhead transmission projects.
Responsibilities include research, design, planning, client engagement, and construction support with a focus on quality and safety. Ideal candidates will have 5–7 years in transmission project design/management, PE licensure, and strong PLS-CADD and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
- 5-7 years' experience in transmission project design/management.
- PE licensure preferred.
- Knowledge of NESC, RUS and GO-95 beneficial.
- Proficiency in transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to policies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
- Develop initial project execution layouts for efficient plans.
- Create and maintain project schedules.
- Lead project meetings and coordinate with clients.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams; ensure QA/QC.
- Mentor staff and support project development.
- Travel to client sites as needed for project delivery.
