Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to provide technical leadership for high‑voltage overhead transmission line projects up to 765 kV. You will guide design delivery, schedule maintenance, and coordinate with clients, field teams, and vendors to ensure quality and safety.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of post‑education experience in electrical transmission, a PE license, and strong knowledge of PLS‑CADD, NESC, and related standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline with equivalent experience.
  • 7–10 years of post-education experience in electrical transmission design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required (multi-state preferred).
  • Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and GO-95.
  • Strong knowledge of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the engineering of transmission projects up to 765 kV.
  • Create and maintain a project schedule and lead project meetings.
  • Coordinate with clients on project status and provide updates.
  • Support PM with scope, schedule, and budget, including variances.
  • Adhere to QA/QC procedures and safety policies.
  • Travel to client offices, field, and vendor facilities as needed.
