Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer II for a fully remote role in the United States. You will handle engineering and design activities for transmission line projects 69 kV to 765 kV, prepare construction documents, develop design options, and coordinate with in-house and client engineers under minimal direction.

You'll lead a team, train junior engineers, oversee project delivery, attend meetings with contractors and regulators, and ensure work meets schedules and safety standards.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil or electrical engineering degree required.
• Master’s degree counts toward years of experience.
• Ability to lead and mentor engineers on transmission projects.

Responsibilities

• Engage in engineering analysis, route selection, design, and project management for transmission lines.
• Prepare plans, profiles, drawings, specifications and bills of material.
• Develop design alternatives and cost estimates.
• Design 69 kV to 765 kV facilities and model with PLS-CADD.
• Lead project teams, train lower-level engineers, ensure safety and schedule compliance.
