Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced transmission engineer to design and manage high-voltage transmission projects from Chicago, IL. You will perform site and route analyses, generate construction documents, and coordinate with internal teams and clients to meet schedule and safety standards.

Responsibilities include leading project design, preparing plans and specifications, and mentoring junior engineers. A PE license is favorable and ABET-accredited degrees are required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum transmission line engineering experience.
• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Master’s degree counts toward years of experience; PE license desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering and design for transmission lines up to 765 kV.
• Prepare construction documents: plans, drawings, specs, schedules, BOMs.
• Develop design options and cost estimates for projects.
• Lead transmission projects and coordinate with regulators and contractors.
