The position resides in the Transmission Line Engineering Department and requires leadership to guide a team of engineers and technicians, with opportunities to train and mentor others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree ABET in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
• Master's degree will count toward experience.
• Professional Engineer license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and design activities for transmission line projects, including analysis, route selection, and construction management.
• Prepare project construction documents: plan/profile drawings, specs, and material lists.
• Develop design alternatives with cost estimates.
• Design new transmission lines from 69 kV to 765 kV.
• Model designs using PLS-CADD.
• Lead meetings with contractors, ensure safety and schedule adherence.
• Mentor engineers and oversee training within the team.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and clients.
