Job summary
SOLV Energy is seeking a Design Engineer II, Transmission who will own the preliminary transmission line design and engineering lifecycle for utility-scale solar and related projects. This fully remote role serves as the primary technical owner from kickoff through design-to-preconstruction handoff, with location details discussed in interviews.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, civil, or related engineering.
- PE licensure is a nice-to-have, not required.
- Minimum 3+ years of transmission line design or related power engineering.
Responsibilities
- Own the first-pass preliminary transmission line design for pursuits and projects, defining the design basis, key assumptions, and interconnection requirements for 10% design deliverables.
- Coordinate with estimating, scheduling, and internal teams to align scope, route, and commercial assumptions.
- Lead communication with clients and stakeholders to review technical exhibits, risks, and requirements outside SOLV standards.
