SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer II, Transmission to own the preliminary transmission line design for utility-scale solar, BESS, and interconnection projects. This fully remote role will discuss specific location expectations during the interview process.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, review requirements, and guide the 10% design with a focus on standards compliance and constructability. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in transmission line design are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, civil, or related engineering.
• 3+ years in transmission line design or related power engineering.
• Proficient in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS.
• Knowledge of NESC/IEEE and interconnection requirements.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Own preliminary transmission line design and technical ownership.
• Coordinate with estimating, scheduling, and stakeholders.
• Engage with clients and partners to review designs and requirements.
• Ensure compliance with NESC and IEEE standards.
• Support handoff to Preconstruction Engineering and BD teams.
