SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer II, Transmission to own the preliminary transmission line design and engineering lifecycle for utility-scale solar and related projects. The role is fully remote, with location details discussed during interviews.

You will coordinate with engineering consultants, survey teams, and environmental staff to drive the 10% design, route sizing, and interconnection considerations, while ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, civil, or related engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is a plus, not mandatory.
3+ years in transmission line design or related power engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead preliminary transmission line design and technical ownership for assigned projects.
Coordinate with estimating, scheduling, and BD to align scope, route, and interconnection requirements.
Engage with clients, management, and external stakeholders to discuss design assumptions and risks.
Coordinate EOR and subcontractor proposals to align with project scope and LNTP needs.
Handoff design scope, risks, and decisions to Preconstruction Engineering teams.
