Job summary

EXL is seeking a Training Manager to lead training and development across Payment Integrity clinical and coding audits. The role focuses on building high-performing teams, evolving training strategy, and aligning learning with business goals.

The position is 100% remote (US-based) with up to 10% travel for team meetings and client engagements. Expect collaboration with cross-functional leaders and a focus on learner outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years in training or learning & development within healthcare.
• Proven experience leading and developing trainers, including nurses and certified coders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of clinical and coding trainers with accountability culture.
• Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback, coaching and development opportunities.
• Oversee trainer performance, workload prioritization, and execution against goals and timelines.
• Develop and execute training strategies and programs for onboarding and performance improvement.
• Ensure training programs remain relevant and aligned with client needs and priorities.
• Conduct training needs assessments and identify capability gaps across teams.
• Monitor, evaluate and improve training effectiveness through metrics and feedback.
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Clinical, Coding, and Leadership.
• Maintain training records, reporting, trainee progression, and readiness metrics.
• Organize and facilitate sessions, workshops, webinars, and development activities.
• Manage team resources and remove barriers to trainer success.
• Stay current on industry trends and evolving learning methodologies.
