Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a remote Territory Manager, Specialty Care Business Development. You will underwrite complex commercial lines for the Human Services and Nonprofit sector, while developing and managing a focused agency network within the New England territory and possibly adjacent states.

Travel to partners will be required, with emphasis on strong business development and profitability. The role combines analytical underwriting with relationship-building, driving sales strategies, and

Qualifications

Multi-line commercial insurance underwriting experience, including underwriting authority.
Human Services and Nonprofit industry-specific experience.
Strong business development skills, with a production & agency management orientation.

Responsibilities

Market, manage and underwrite commercial business with select agencies or brokers.
Drive profit and premium to meet financial goals through developing, negotiating and implementing business plans.
Lead and influence agencies with sales strategies and processes to drive new sales and retention.
Collaborate with internal partners to support Nationwide presence and growth.
Coordinate agency visits and maintain strong agency relationships to ensure service levels.
Support training needs and participate in orientation meetings with Sales/Marketing partners.
