Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking an Account Development Manager to grow sales within assigned Pittsburgh Paints Store accounts and expand product adoption across an Ohio territory. This remote/field-based role emphasizes relationship-building, account expansion, and cross-functional collaboration.

Based in the Cincinnati/Dayton market, you will travel daily to customer locations, partner with Operations, Marketing and Customer Service, and drive territory plans to meet and exceed sales

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong prospecting skills with a hunter mentality.
• Experience with CRM systems preferred.
• Coatings or related industry experience a plus.
• Ability to travel daily within assigned territory.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth by expanding existing accounts and achieving territory goals.
• Develop new business opportunities through prospecting and outreach.
• Build and maintain customer partnerships to increase retention.
• Create and execute territory sales plans to maximize coverage.
• Utilize consultative selling to understand customer needs and propose solutions.
• Improve profitability by managing pricing opportunities and margins.
• Track activity, forecasts, and performance using CRM systems.
• Educate customers on products, promotions, and solutions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Corporate Account Managers, Marketing, and Customer Service.
• Represent the Pittsburgh Paints Company brand professionally in field activities.
