Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced Tendering & Proposal Specialist to turn customer requirements into winning bids. You will work with sales, engineering, and operations to develop high-quality proposals that are accurate, compliant, and competitive.

You will review documents, manage tender schedules, develop pricing strategies, and engage with stakeholders to deliver timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of tendering, bid management, proposal development, or quotation preparation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical, commercial, and market data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and tendering or CRM platforms.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents and identify customer requirements, scope, and expectations.
• Develop accurate and competitive quotations using cost analysis and market benchmarks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical, commercial, and operational inputs.
• Manage tender schedules and coordinate activities to ensure timely, high-quality submissions.
• Evaluate bid opportunities and support bid/no-bid decision-making processes.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to bids, contracts, and cost estimates.
• Maintain compliant documentation and perform quality reviews throughout the proposal process.
• Build positive customer relationships by clarifying requirements and supporting a seamless bid experience.
