Job summary

Charter Steel is seeking a Technical Services Engineer to partner with customers, translate their application needs into material specifications, and ensure our products meet performance requirements. This remote role travels up to 40% to customer sites across the U.S.

You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Planning and Operations to review specifications, support new product development, and resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in process engineering or manufacturing in steel products.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Learn specification and material review processes and apply them as needed.
• Manage customer claims and respond to field issues.
• Interpret customer specifications to recommend Charter products.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Planning and Operations.
• Lead or support New Product Development initiatives.
• Provide technical resources to support sales teams.
