Job summary

Ellwood Quality Steels is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer in the United States to partner with customers, understand challenges, and present tailored technical proposals for steel ingot and billet products.

The role spans new system sales to aftermarket services, including maintenance planning, component refurbishment, and on-site field support. Travel about 25–30% is expected in this hands-on, heavy industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of sales/marketing experience in steel producing markets preferred.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Reviews inquiries, establishes pricing, and develops steel ingot or billet process plans.
• Manages sales for EQS and ENS and supports other Ellwood units as needed.
• Maintains up-to-date understanding of steelmaking and downstream processes.
• Travel is required (local, national and international), typically 25-30% of the time for sales calls or technical service inquiries.
• Coordinates and oversees customer orders and deliveries.
• Identifies, suggests and implements improvements to sales and customer service processes for EQS and ENS.
• Provides technical and operational expertise to customers.
• Leads investigations to resolution of customer claims with Metallurgy.
